What Novapix is for

Novapix is for AI-generated cinema — films and series where artificial intelligence tools played a significant role in creating the visuals, audio, or narrative. All genres, tones, and styles are welcome: horror, surrealism, comedy, documentary, experimental, action, romance.

Permitted content

  • All fictional AI-generated scenarios, including violence and horror in a clearly fictional context
  • Mature and dark themes handled non-explicitly
  • Historical reimaginings using fictional characters
  • Experimental and abstract films
  • Strong language in an artistic context
  • Action, combat, and conflict in fictional settings
  • Content warnings allow audiences to make informed choices — use them

Prohibited content

  • Deepfakes — realistic depictions of real named living individuals without their clear consent
  • Explicit sexual content — any explicit depictions of sexual acts
  • Targeted harassment — content designed to harass, defame, or threaten a specific private individual
  • Terrorism glorification — content that glorifies or promotes real-world acts of terrorism or mass violence
  • Copyright violations — use of clearly identifiable commercially released music without a licence

Moderation process

All submissions are reviewed by our AI moderation system (claude-sonnet-4-20250514) within minutes. Films rated low-risk are published automatically. Medium or high-risk films are queued for human review within 24 hours. Creators are notified by email of all decisions.

Community members with a reputation score of 50 or higher can flag films. Three qualifying flags will temporarily quarantine a film pending review. Creators have 72 hours to appeal quarantine decisions.

Appeals

All moderation decisions can be appealed via the creator dashboard within 72 hours. Human review is completed within 72 hours of appeal. All moderation decisions are logged with timestamps.

Age ratings

  • G — Suitable for all audiences
  • PG — Parental guidance recommended
  • 15+ — Suitable for audiences 15 and over
  • 18+ — Adults only

Creators self-rate their films. Misrating may result in re-rating or removal during review.
